Watercolor Rainbows

{judy} Hello Ribbon Friends! Today I have a watercolor background to share:
We had a beautiful full rainbow over our Capitol last week, and it just inspired me to create a rainbow background. I used my Kuretake paints on watercolor paper. When it was dry, I stamped my sentiment (The Stamps of Life) in VersaFine Onyx Black ink.
Since gold is associated with rainbows, I used Metallic Gold Baker's Twine, and wrapped it several times around my card, fanning it out. I then tied all the pieces together with a half bow and added some sequins (Pretty Posh) for sparkle! All of my layers are held together with Scor-Tape and Foam Tabs.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks!

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday to all! Today's card was created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using beautiful Polka Dot Satin, Sweetheart Blossoms, Embellishments, and Foam Squares. Love this Red Polka Dot Ribbon as it makes for super easy and fun bows!

I used an old design paper 6 x 6 pad, and then made a few layers using red card stock to mat each layer. Next I used Cheery Lynn dies for the doily. My sentiment is from The Project Bin stamps, and stamped in black ink. Next I chose to use Sweetheart Blossoms and some branches for my floral arrangement under the sentiment.

My bow was created using the Satin Polka dots, and then I used a Really Reasonable Ribbon Flower Embellishment for the center.

The layers were popped up using RRR Foam Squares.
My card was super fun to make, and I really enjoyed sharing it today with you all!
Thank you for looking and have a lovely weekend!

Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Mini Albums and Ribbon Club Assortments - Perfect Together!

So, I'm on a mini-album kick and the Monthly Ribbon Club Assortments from Really Reasonable Ribbon are the PERFECT embellishment for your minis.  You get a collection of ribbon in two widths that all work perfectly together, so there is no thinking needed!   Just grab a coordinating paper pad and get to work.

I have another beach themed mini that I will share with you real soon that I made using the June Ribbon Club Assortment.  Great for those beach vacation photos!

We have a special going on right now.
JOIN TODAY and begin with the May and June assortments with special low introductory pricing.
Hurry, the May assortment disappears at the end of June!
The May and June assortments each contain 9 styles and a total of 18 yards of ribbon.  Each monthly assortment is a color or holiday themed collection of ribbon.  What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbon styles.

We have a big family picnic on the 4th of July weekend each year, so I decided to make this mini album to hold some of the photos from this year.  I had a 6 x 6 patriotic paper collection that has been collecting dust for several years and it worked great for this mini.
I am just starting to play around with minis, so I'm still working on page construction.  Once I get things a little more organized in my head, I will share some tutorials for different types of pages and ribbon embellishment.
I made the pages on this album flip out, so it almost doubles the amount of space for photos.  If you use all the pages and tags, you can put 7 photos on each page and still have room to journal on the backs.  With 5 pages, that's 35 photos you can easily add.  Even more if you skip the writing and add photos to the backs of the pull out pieces as well.
I also strongly recommend Scor-Tape for mini album construction.  I use it for many things including attaching the pages to the binding and the binding to the cover and it's very strong and secure.
I love the flag design paper on the back cover and all the perky ribbons peeking out the top and sides.  I even added a year medallion on the spine so we remember what year the photos are from.  I fussy cut the design paper and you can see I got '4th of July' showing on the bottom.
My bi-color bow was created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool with two of the 5/8" ribbon styles from the May Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This bow is just my favorite bow for any project!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  If you would like more information on the other products I used in my mini album, please visit my Make Time to Craft Blog.

Happiness and Butterflies Greeting Card

Hey Peeps! Ginny here to share a card that I created with sooo many layers. All the fabulous supplies were just calling to me.
I've gone just a bit mixed media and a whole lot vintage with this all occasion greeting card.

There's 2 colors of gorgeous Burlap Sting tucked into the flowers.
Stitching adds a nice texture and a subtle detail.
So.Many.Layers. An altered chipboard element to dress up the focal image.
Believe it or not...all of these yummy pieces were just regular stash waiting to find a nice home.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Supplies~ Burlap String in Black and Antique GoldScor-Tape, Tombow 3D foam Squares.

Okay that's all for me. Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Nostalgic Carnival Card - Remember

Hello, friends of Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Thanks for stopping by to visit us.  It's Karen posting today to share a sweet little card I made using some rather nostalgic patterned papers and ephemera, and lots of great ribbons as well.  I hope my card will inspire you to decorate and adorn your next card with LOTS of great RIBBONS.  I love this retro look, and Really Reasonable Ribbon has the perfect trims for this, ANY style of project.  I just love how I can always find the perfect trims for each project I create, and YOU can too!
At the top left of this card, you will see a piece of ephemera and a snippet of 3/4" Red Chevron Stripe Twill.  Then, down at the bottom left part of my card you will see pieces of Plaid Turquoise Ribbon, 3/8" Yellow Gingham Ribbon, and Red and White Plaid Houndstooth Ribbon.  I just love how all these different ribbons work together so nicely and compliment one another.  The ribbons really brought my card to life and gave it texture, depth and personality.  Oh, and I don't want to forget to tell you all that I use LOTS of Scor-Tape to hold my cards together.  It's a fabulous, long-lasting adhesive.
Be sure to stop by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store to check out the ribbons I used (all listed and linked above)....just click on the link for the ribbons you like, and you can easily add them to your cart.   AND -  there's also a fabulous challenge taking place right now here....so, come play along in our Current Challenge   And finally, there's always lots of great inspiration right here on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  We're so glad you stopped by, and we hope that you will stop by to visit again tomorrow......and every day!
Have a blessed day,
